Step 2:
Double-Click on the "My Computer"

Step 3:
In the "My Computer" window, double-click the "Control Panel" icon

Step 4:
In the "Control Panel" window, open up the Internet Properties, by double-clicking on the "Internet Options" icon.

Step 5:
Change your Home page Address to http://www.nittanylink.com

Step 6:
Click on the "Connections" Tab, and then on the "Setup" Button.

Step 7:
This will open up the Internet Connection Wizard. Here we will need to select the third option "I want to setup my Internet connection manually…" and then click on the "Next" button.

Step 8:
Select "I connect through a
phone line and a modem," and choose Next

Step 9:
Delete the Area Code, uncheck "Dial using the area code and country code," and type in the dial-up phone number specified on your Account Information Sheet. Once this is completed, click the "Next" button

If your area uses 10 digit dialing, leave the "Dial using the area code and country code" checked and add the area code for the phone number on the Account Information Sheet

Step 10:
Enter the User name and Password you chose, from your Account Information Sheet. Click the "Next" button.
Step 11:
For the "Connection name", enter NittanyLink, click the "Next" button
Step 12:
Now we will need to setup your e-mail account using Outlook Express. With the "Yes" option selected, click the "Next" button.
Step 13:
The "Display name" can be anything you want people to see to identify you when you e-mail them (i.e. Johnny, John Smith, The Smiths, Smith Family), once you have entered the display name click the "Next" button.
Step 14:
Enter the e-mail address you chose, as displayed on your Account Information Sheet. Click the "Next" button.
Step 15:
Be sure the first line reads, "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server." Enter the Incoming mail (POP3), and Outgoing mail (SMTP) server names as displayed on your Account Information Sheet. Click the "Next" button
Step 16:
Enter the Account name and Password as shown on your Account Information Sheet for this e-mail account. If you would like to, you can check the "Remember password" box, so you will not have to type your password in every time you want to check e-mail. Be sure the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" box is Not checked, and then click the "Next" button.
Step 17:
Uncheck the "To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box and then click Finish" box, and then click the "Finish" button.

Step 18:
Close any windows that have been left open as we set up your Internet connection.

On the desktop you have an Internet Explorer Icon, you can double-click on it to connect to the Internet and browse the web.

You also have an Outlook Express Icon, you can double-click on this to connect to the Internet and check your e-mail.

Account Setup Guide

Step 1: Close all windows and exit from all programs that you may have open
