How to Set up Outlook Express to Log In When Sending Email.
Step
1:
Open up
Outlook Express and left click on the "Tools" menu item at the top
of the window.

Step 2:
When the menu opens up, drag the cursor down the menu
till the "Accounts" item is highlighted and left click on "Accounts"

Step 3:
A new window entitled "Internet Accounts"
is going to appear with several tabs at the top of the new window. Left click
on the "Mail" tab as shown in the figure below (1). You will see
your Nittany Link email connection listed here. left click on it to highlight
the Nittany Link email connection (2) and then left click on the "Properties"
button to right of the Internet Accounts window (3).

Step 4:
Once you click on "properties" you will
see a new window entitled Internet Account Name Properties where
Internet Account Name isthe name for your Nittany Link email account
in Outlook Express. In the example above, Internet Account Name is
mail.nittanylink.com. On the properties window left click on the "servers"
tab at the top of the window and continue to Step 5.

Step 5:
On this step you are going to place a check mark on
the box that is labeled "My Server Required Authentication in the section
"Outgoing Mail Server" at the bottom of the window. Once you check
the checkbox a "Settings" window is going to become clickable on
the right side of this window. Please left click to open the "Outgoing
Mail Server" window.

Step 6:
On this step you are going to make sure that in the
section "Logon Information" that "Use same settings as my incoming
mail server" has a dot next to it. If it does, click OK otherwise put
a dot next to "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" and
click OK to close the "Outgoing
Mail Server" window. Click OK again to close "mail.nittanylink.com
Properties window and finally clock "Close" on the "Internet
Accounts" window.

You are now ready to handle our change to email server setup.
